Owning your own horse is great! But let’s face it, not everyone can afford to. Costs involved with care and upkeep of a horse can pile up. Leasing a horse is a great option for those who wouldn’t normally get to have their own horse. It’s also a great way to see if you are ready to take the plunge and buy your own horse. At a fraction of the cost you can have your very own horse!
At Star Walkers we have several lease options and the horse to match! Tack and board are supplied all you need is a desire to learn and a love of horses!

Each horse has its own unique abilities and experience levels. Listed below are the current horses available for lease at Star Walkers
Costs
1 Day/Week - $60/month
2 Days/Week - $120/month
3 Days/Week - $150/month
4 Days/Week - $160/month
To lease a horse, leasee must be taking at least one lesson per week and demonstrate they are confident enough to tack up and ride on their own. Lessons costs are in addition to lease price.

Mel is a 1998 experienced show horse. He is a 16HH TWH gelding that is calm and cool in any situation whether it is
in a crowded show ring or out on the trail. He can do it all! In 2006, he completed his points for a TWHBEA Youth Superior Versatility
title. He has competed in model/halter, showmanship, English and western classes, equitation, water glass, gymkhana, horse dancing
and arena trail. He has three fantastic gaits and he just walks up a storm. No matter what you do, he just walks and shakes. He is the
perfect horse for any age. He is calm and gentle and will take care of even the smallest child but is still a blast for older riders

Riley is a 1998 16HH TWH mare that has had lots of miles on her. Riley is a very very talented horse.
She was in training down in California for a number of years before coming up to Canada. I've recently acquired her
and brought her out of baby making retirement to show. She is a fantastic girl in the showring with her smooth flat
walk and runwalk and her canter is one of the easiest I've ever rode! To see more info and pictures of Riley

Merry is a 1994 14.3HH TWH mare that has done it all. She is used for
all the young kids' lessons. She is very patient and is always trying to please. To

Cupcake is a 2005 13.1HH TWH mare. She came up from Tennessee
in December 2009. Since then I have been riding her and she has started doing
some lessons. She is still a work in progress but is always learning. She is
started on her canter but it still needs work. Because of her size she cannot have

Bussy is a 1998 16HH TWH mare. She is an awesome mare to ride.
She has a ground covering headshaking gait. She was a broodmare for most of her life.
I started riding her the fall of 2008 and showed her in 2009. She did fantastic. She is
currently coming back from having a foal in April 2010. I am starting to work on her canter.

Dixie is a 1992 15.2HH TWH mare. She is a cool mare to ride.
She was also a broodmare for most of her life. I started riding her the fall of 2008.
Since then I have been riding her off and on. She needs some work to keep her consistent
in her flat walk and running walk. She likes to pace. I'm also working on her canter but
it's a long process! She is very fun to take down the road and will just go where you point
her.
